Sababba is an Isreali falafel place in Newtown and other places around Sydney that has a good selection of vegan felafel pita pockets, chips and baklava.

Manoosh Pizzeria – Enmore Rd, Enmore

October 16th, 2011

This pizza joint is great, the food is delicious, delivery is fast and it is incredibly cheap. Instead of using soy cheese pizzas the vegan pizza is made with a generous topping of tahini sauce which works very well.

Mad Pizza – Just off King St, Newtown – Closed

July 16th, 2011

Now closed. Mad pizza have just added vegan pepperoni and vegan chicken to their menu and I think they are now the best vegan pizza in Newtown – good pizza, fast delivery, vegie and fake meat pizza and very reasonable prices.

Worlds Best Satay Tofu Burgers – Marrickville Markets

July 22nd, 2010

Definitely Australia’s best satay burger, well worth the half an hour line up if you are silly enough to want one at the 1pm rush hour (like I was last Sunday).

Funky Pies – Glenayr Ave, Bondi

June 27th, 2010

A whole shop of vegan food! Pies, sausage rolls, pastizi’s and yummy baked goods. We bought up big and everything was pretty darn tasty.

Wagamama, King St Wharf, Darling Harbour, Sydney

May 27th, 2010

Wagamama is quite likeable with it’s non-confrontational modern japanese food and the King St location in Darling Harbour has a balcony overlooking the water which makes it a little more classy.

Iku – Met Centre 273 George St, Sydney

May 20th, 2010

Iku is one of the foundations of the vegan food scene in Sydney, with four stores in the CBD and six stores elsewhere. The menu is all vegan and made from mostly organic locally sourced produce.
