This little cafe is tucked off King St on the corner of Wilson and Brown St. It has great food for vegans and non-vegans alike and a quirky atmosphere.

Black Star is an amazing bakery and is well worth the visit, because even though there is usually a single vegan cake it will be pretty tasty.
This restaurant is a Sydney institution, it has been around for about 15 years, and is the place carnivores takes their visiting vegan friends because it is the one place they have heard of!
Tamana’s is the original Newtown Indian (I’ve been going there since I was 12) and it is a great place for a quick dinner and one of the few places where eating by yourself is not an awkward experience.
Green Gourmet is a Sydney establishment with a restaurants in Newtown and St Leonards and a vegan supermarket in as well. The food is delicious if a little eclectic (the buffet is more like a Chinese potluck dinner).
Bodhi is beautifully located restaurant with pretty good food and service that ranges from average to awful.
Gelato Blue has an entire array of delicious vegan gelato in flavours like wild berry, coconut, rockmelon, chocolate and blood orange.
Harvest is an excellent “going out” restaurant when you want good food, good service and nice cutlery.
Green Palace is a laid back all vegan Thai buffet take away and al acarte restaurant in the heart of Newtown.
Definitely Australia’s best satay burger, well worth the half an hour line up if you are silly enough to want one at the 1pm rush hour (like I was last Sunday).
