This little cafe is tucked off King St on the corner of Wilson and Brown St. It has great food for vegans and non-vegans alike and a quirky atmosphere.

Black Star is an amazing bakery and is well worth the visit, because even though there is usually a single vegan cake it will be pretty tasty.
Earth vegan cafe has been replaced by Sadhana Kitchen, a great vegan and mostly raw cafe.
Tamana’s is the original Newtown Indian (I’ve been going there since I was 12) and it is a great place for a quick dinner and one of the few places where eating by yourself is not an awkward experience.
Green Gourmet is a Sydney establishment with a restaurants in Newtown and St Leonards and a vegan supermarket in as well. The food is delicious if a little eclectic (the buffet is more like a Chinese potluck dinner).
Gelato Blue has an entire array of delicious vegan gelato in flavours like wild berry, coconut, rockmelon, chocolate and blood orange.
Green Palace is a laid back all vegan Thai buffet take away and al acarte restaurant in the heart of Newtown.
Nothing beats being able to order whatever you actually feel like at a cafe which is 100% vegan, and yes that does mean you can order a cappuccino with chocolate on top.
I like this pizza joint for when I want Friday night cheezly loaded greasy pizza delivered to my house for about $15 a pizza, although if you want it hot you may want to go pick it up.
Vina is a Vietnamese restaurant that is entirely vegan and it has an extensive menu of really delicious food.
