Black Star Pastry – King St, Newtown.

Black Star is an amazing bakery and is well worth the visit, because even though there is usually a single vegan cake it will be pretty tasty.

Vegan status: generally a single sweet baked item and a variety of breads. Pictured is a delicious pumpkin, ginger and walnut cake.

Price range: between $5 and $7.

Recommendations: eat whatever they have it will probably be pretty good as this is one of the better bakeries in Sydney. Also their coffee is very good (Little Marionette coffee).
