This is one of the easiest and most delicious baked desserts, and even better it requires practically no washing up at all.

Enough for three or four serves.

  • 2/3 cup self raising flour
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons dairy free margarine
  • 1/3 cup soy milk
  • 2 tablespoons apple sauce

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa
  • 1 cup boiling water

Turn the oven onto 190 degrees celsius / 375 degree fahrenheit.

In a small pudding bowl or other oven proof dish combine the dry pudding ingredients. Then mix in the margarine, soy milk and apple sauce. Smooth the mixture out evenly and clean the sides.

Then to make the sauce just sprinkle the brown sugar and cocoa evenly on top. Then gently pour the boiling water over the brown sugar and cocoa trying not to make a hole in the pudding mixture. I usually pour the water over the back a spoon.

Bake in the oven for 40 minutes and then serve with ice cream.
