Lemon and Garlic Green Beans.

These green beans go well with nut loaf.

Makes two serves.


  • 20 green beans topped and tailed
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove of garlic quartered
  • 2 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
  • Salt
  • 1 wedge of lemon


In a hot frypan add the olive oil, beans and garlic. Sauté for 1 minute, then add the breadcrumbs.

Continue to cook on a high heat until the breadcrumbs are crispy. Remove the garlic. Squeeze the lemon on top and serve.
