Coconut, Almond, Date and Macadamia Shake.

This crazy delicious smoothie is also a very healthy protein hit.

Makes one very large breakfast shake or two regular shakes.


  • 12 dates
  • 1/3 cup almonds
  • 1/3 cup macadamias
  • 2/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 2 cups soy milk
  • 1 large scoop dairy free vanilla ice cream


Soak the almonds and dates separately for an hour. Drain the almonds and rinse. Keep a cup of the date water.

In a fry pan over a medium heat dry roast the coconut until it is lightly browned.

Add the almonds, date, date water, macadamias and coconut to a blender and process until smooth.

Add the soy milk and ice cream and blend again. If you don’t like bits in your smoothie pour it through a strainer before serving otherwise pour it straight into a glass.
