Batata Harra – Spicy Coriander Fried Potatoes.

These spicy potatoes are very easy to make, they are great with lebanese food and very popular at bbq’s and picnics.

Makes a small bowl

Ingredients.

  • 3 medium potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaf
  • Salt and olive oil

Method.

Heat the oven to 200C / 390F.

Cut the potatoes into small cubes, parboil in a saucepan for 5 minutes. Drain the potato, place them on a baking tray. Coat the potatoes with a little olive oil and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.

When the potatoes are ready remove them from the oven and put them in a hot frypan with a little olive oil. After a minute add the lemon juice and garlic to frypan. Sprinkle the paprika and chilli flakes over the potatoes. Cook for 3 minutes.

Chop the coriander leaf, stir in and serve.
